Started from the 18th century, it appeared in the United States that people began to send a basket of food to poor families and customs handed down. There were a group of young women wanted to select one day of the year dedicated to charity, and they thought that Thanksgiving Day was the most appropriate one. So when Thanksgiving was coming, they would fill in the basket a bunch of food and delivered to the poor families personally. Soon there were many people who learned their way to do the same thing as them.

Yes I bet you will do the charity on Thanksgiving Day, do you still bother on what food should you send to the poor families? I suggest some chocolate cream pies will be suitable as the gifts.
