Cacao is a main ingredient in chocolate which is super high in protein, fat, dietary fiber, minerals (calcium, iron, potassium, sodium, magnesium, zinc, etc.), polyphenols, vitamin A, vitamin E, caffeine, theobromine and many other nutrients. One of the most noteworthy nutrients in it is exactly the polyphenols.
Data show that polyphenols in chocolate is two times more than that in red wine which can effectively resist aging and oxidation problems. Meanwhile, chocolate contains dietary fiber that has a certain function to prevent and mitigate constipation, able to promote metabolism of our bodies and stop wrinkles, long spot from appearing and create an amazing environment for beautifying our skin.
Besides, because of the minerals it contains and easy to lose by our human body, choosing chocolate properly will be likely to supplement some iron and potassium and promote excretion of excess sodium. And, eating chocolate can improve our blood cholesterol levels and promote blood circulation in our whole bodies, so that oxygen is able to reach our skin and keep it in a good condition. Furthermore, caffeine in chocolate has a calming effect to our nerves so that it can improve our ability to think, ease our restless and irritable mood. It helps lose weight by choosing chocolate dessert properly
Due to that chocolate dessert takes on a lot of fat and sugar, it resulted in that many people think chocolate dessert the natural enemy to lose weight. You’ll find that if you choose chocolate dessert that is super low in sugar or sugar-free, it won’t block your way to lose weight, whereas it helps increase muscle and lose pounds. Certainly the key is to choose the right chocolate dessert and eat moderately.
Polyphenols is one substance that can be beneficial to your weight loss, because it makes you feel full in your stomach, but actually it is an illusion that has cheated on you. All in all, it works! It actually places an important role on reducing your food intake and thus helping burn your fat and increasing your metabolism effect.
The key is to choose the right chocolate to make dessert
At present, the main components of chocolate on the market are generally classified as “cacao butter” and “cacao butter replacer”. When purchasing, try to choose chocolate made of natural “cacao butter” as far as possible. The higher the cacao butter, the higher the polyphenols. Another choice would be the sugarless chocolate. Chosen from color, the darker, the healthier. Dark chocolate is better than brown chocolate, well brown chocolate is better than white chocolate; chosen from ingredients, pure black chocolate is better than any other chocolate, while nuts chocolate is better than dried fruit chocolate.
Therefore, in principle, better choose pure black chocolate with higher cacao butter (greater than 50%) to eat.
